RETURNS & REFUND POLICY 

(Companhia Brasileira de Distribuicao de Cosmeticos LTDA, Make Beauty International LLC, MKB Portugal LDA)


1. Overview

This Returns & Refund Policy is part of the Terms of Service of (Companhia Brasileira de Distribuicao de Cosmeticos LTDA, Make Beauty International LLC, MKB Portugal LDA) and is governed by:

  • Section 22 – Hybrid Product Delivery Policy

  • Section 23 – Digital Delivery Policy

  • EXW (Ex-Works) International Shipping Terms

By completing a purchase, the customer confirms acceptance of all policies above.


2. Non-Refundable Digital Goods

Many Make Beauty International products include a digital component (such as courses, certificates, manuals, digital badges, or professional training).

The digital portion:

  • is delivered instantly at the time of purchase

  • has independent economic value

  • is considered fully fulfilled upon delivery

  • is non-refundable, non-reversible and non-exchangeable

  • confirms partial fulfillment of the order

  • prevents full refunds or “item not received” disputes

Access, download, receipt, or activation of digital content voids any right to a full refund.

Chargebacks claiming “nothing was delivered” will be contested with delivery logs, metadata, access records, and the customer’s acceptance of these Terms.


3. Returns for Physical Items (Defective Products Only)

For health, safety, and international cosmetic regulations, we do not accept returns unless:

  1. the physical product is defective,

  2. the wrong item was shipped, or

  3. the item arrived severely damaged.

We do not accept returns based on:

  • delays

  • color variations

  • scent variations

  • dissatisfaction

  • change of mind

  • customs refusal

  • failure to pay import duties

  • abandoned or unclaimed packages

  • “I no longer want the product”

  • “The product took longer than expected”


4. When the Return Window Begins

The return period starts 7 days after the physical product is delivered,
NOT from the date of purchase.

This is essential because:

  • digital delivery occurs instantly

  • physical shipments may take up to 120 business days due to worldwide logistics

  • hybrid products are partially fulfilled at purchase

Requests made before physical delivery are not eligible for refunds.


5. EXW (Ex-Works) Shipping Liability

Our orders ship under EXW – Ex-Works International Trade Terms.

This means:

  • our responsibility ends when the package is handed to the carrier

  • shipping, customs, duties, clearance, and local taxes are sole responsibility of the importer

  • refusal to pay customs fees voids any refund eligibility

  • loss, destruction, or return by customs does not qualify for refund

  • packages returned due to unpaid duties, incorrect address, or rejection by the recipient are not refundable

This clause is legally binding and accepted by the customer at checkout.


6. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or refunded under any circumstance:

  • opened products

  • used products

  • cosmetics or personal care items

  • digital goods

  • downloadable products

  • courses, certificates, manuals

  • items purchased during promotions or sales

  • free items, bonus items, or gifts

  • products delivered as part of hybrid digital-physical packages

  • items refused by customs

  • products abandoned or destroyed by the post office or customs

  • products marked as “delivered” by the carrier


7. Chargeback Abuse & Fraudulent Claims

Make Beauty International actively fights fraudulent disputes.

The following disputes are considered misuse of the chargeback process:

  • “Item not received” when digital delivery has been completed

  • “Service not provided” when digital content was accessed

  • “Product not delivered” before the maximum delivery window

  • Claims made without contacting our support

  • Claims made while the package is still in transit

  • Claims made due to customs refusal or unpaid duties

All such disputes will be contested with:

  • digital delivery logs

  • timestamp metadata

  • access records

  • course activation data

  • EXW terms

  • customer acceptance at checkout

  • carrier tracking history

  • screenshots and internal documents

We reserve the right to block accounts, deny future purchases, and submit evidence to Stripe, Visa, Mastercard, and Amex for fraud reporting.


8. Refunds (Physical Items Only)

If your return is approved (defective or incorrect item only):

  • refunds apply only to the physical portion

  • digital component value is not refundable

  • original shipping fees are not refundable

  • return shipping costs are borne by the customer

  • refund is issued to the original payment method within 7 days


9. Sale Items & Promotions

Items sold at a discount, under any promotion, bundle, offer, sale, free shipping, or special pricing are:

  • final sale

  • non-refundable

  • non-exchangeable

Hybrid bundles and digital+physical combos are always final sale.


10. Lost or Damaged Shipments

If your order is damaged:

Lost packages are investigated with the carrier before any resolution.

Packages marked as delivered by the carrier are not eligible for refunds or reshipments.


11. Returns Process (If Applicable)

If authorized by support:

  1. Products must be shipped back unused, sealed, and in original packaging.

  2. Customer pays return shipping.

  3. Tracking and insurance are required.

  4. Make Beauty does not guarantee receipt of returned items.
