We contribute a % of each sale towards plastic removal within 50 km of the ocean or ocean bound waterway. This reduces plastic pollution and the plastic collected by the community is exchanged for social and financial benefits helping alleviate poverty.

Wij zijn een partnerschap aangegaan met GoedeAPI om plastic afval uit de oceaan te verwijderen. Door plastic binnen 50 km van een oceaangebonden waterweg of kustlijn te stoppen, wordt de kans kleiner dat het in de oceaan terechtkomt. Dit helpt op zijn beurt om het zeeleven, micro-organismen en bedreigde diersoorten te beschermen tegen plasticvervuiling.
Elke stap in de levenscyclus van plastic — extractie, transport, productie en verwijdering — stoot enorme hoeveelheden broeikasgassen uit, voornamelijk CO2. Ocean Bound plastic wordt omgezet in plastic grondstof, wat een circulaire economie mogelijk maakt en de behoefte aan nieuw plastic materiaal vermindert.
